Fun with Grammy

Dylan is with his Grandma full time now.  It is a really wonderful experience for me to sit up at my computer, plugging away at the part of my day that pays the bills, and listen to them playing.  Dylan has adapted so quickly--practically immediately.  Gone are the heart-breaking sobs as I head off to work.  Now, it's just a quick kiss and he's off to enjoy his day with his Grammy.  I can even come down for a coffee refill and listen to him tell me about the latest adventure and then head back up to work and it doesn't phase him a bit.  This arrangement gives me the opportunity to have lunch with him, put him down for his nap & be there when he wakes up, and to know exactly what he's up to all the time.  I don't know where my mom finds the energy!  I hear the patter-bang-bang of them dashing about the house and think "wow!"

My mom makes a point to do an art project with Dylan every single day.  Today, Dylan finally discovered a two-handed technique for scissors.  He is so excited!  He sat and cut up paper for literally 30 minutes or more with my mom.  Amazing.  Lucky me..and lucky him!

Dying Easter Eggs

Dylan participating in coloring eggs for the first time this year.  He was fascinated with every step of the process...from pouring the vinegar into the cups to peeling the colored eggs for sandwiches.  I am so impressed with his ability to stay focused on one project!

Country Living

So - this is Dylan's "room."  He loves it!  He can shut the sliding doors himself and he even has his own television.

This is the view of our home from the edge of the walking trail.

And, this is what happens when your "to do" list is so long that the ratty old wood sheds you meant to fix right away gets put off for 'later'...for 15 years.  :)

Freedom~!

It's been way too much of a whirlwind to catch up now.  So, I won't.

I am living in Boise, now.  Dylan and I share a room, but there is a slider dividing our sides.  He loves his room!

I can't upload photos from the house because of the sattelite connection.  It just won't do it.

We died eggs with Dylan this year. I'll post pictures on Wednesday when I go to town to work.

I don't have to pay any more spousal support!!!  Wooohooo!!
